My name is Jana and I am a highly creative instructional designer with an emphasis in AI and gamification. My dog, cats, and I live in the Space City (Houston, TX) and I can't wait to help you meet your instructional design needs.
My Story
I started my career in education teaching High School English. After seven years in the classroom, I moved into the corporate world where I spent two years writing technical documentation for a SaaS company. After two years, I wanted to get back into education, so I became a technical trainer and instructional designer for the same company. My time spend in corporate education was pivotal to my growth as an educator, as I was able to travel all over the world to train. This allowed me to learn about other countries and cultures and meet their incredibly diverse learning styles. After five years in corporate education, I decided to step away from training and pursue strictly instructional design.
I have a Bachelor's degree from Baylor University in English, a Master's in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow, and over twelve years of experience in education. I will bring all of my strengths, knowledge of AI and gamification, and creativity to your instructional design needs.
